FolderyMenu is a macOS utility that helps users organize and access files, folders, applications, and web links directly from the macOS menu bar.

Your privacy is important. FolderyMenu is designed to operate primarily on-device and does not require account creation.

Information FolderyMenu Accesses

FolderyMenu may access files, folders, and related metadata that you explicitly choose to add or grant access to through standard macOS permission dialogs.

• Folder names
• File names
• File paths
• File types
• File metadata such as modified dates or last opened dates
• User-created web links
• Applications you choose to add

FolderyMenu only accesses locations you explicitly authorize.

How Permissions Work

FolderyMenu uses standard app-stpre approved macOS security-scoped bookmarks and file access permissions provided by Apple.

You may grant access to:

• Individual folders
• Parent folders
• Cloud storage folders such as iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox
• External drives

Permissions can be removed at any time by:

• Removing items from FolderyMenu
• Resetting permissions within the app (if available)
• Revoking macOS permissions through System Settings

FolderyMenu does not bypass macOS security protections.

Data Storage

FolderyMenu stores its configuration locally on your Mac.

• Saved menu items
• Filters and sorting preferences
• Security-scoped bookmarks
• Pinned items
• Appearance settings
• Backup files created by the user
• Backup files accessed for restore

FolderyMenu does not upload your files or folder contents to external servers.

Network and Internet Access

FolderyMenu may access the internet only for limited functionality such as:

• Opening saved web links
• App Store subscription validation through Apple
• Checking for application updates (if applicable)

FolderyMenu does not sell your personal information and does not use third-party advertising trackers.

Cloud Storage Providers

FolderyMenu may interact with cloud-synced folders that already exist on your Mac through services such as:

• iCloud Drive
• OneDrive
• Google Drive
• Dropbox
• Etc...

FolderyMenu does not control how those providers collect or process data. Please review their individual privacy policies.

Analytics and Tracking

FolderyMenu does not use invasive tracking technologies.

If analytics or crash reporting are used, they are limited to improving application stability, performance, and reliability.

No file contents are intentionally collected for advertising purposes.

Children’s Privacy

FolderyMenu is not directed toward children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above.
